Cleaning my pantry and apparently breaking the internet!
Not sure how this 'pantry journey"started? It may have been the 5 jars of cranberry sauces I found at the back of the pantry or maybe the stupid little packets of healthy thingo with pegs. But what started as a clean up turned into a very therapeutic exercise.
Reading the gorgeous Marie Kondo's book and cleaning up mu undies draw, an epiphany came to me on my wanderings through Kmart. With the amazing cheap container on offer, I just couldn't resist.
I really wish I had taken a before photo, but I think you can imagine. it was like another shoved up mess of a pantry.
The only way to do this was to take out everything. The kitchen floor was covered, the benches, dining room table. Then the need to throw out the out of date rubbish, nearly finished packets and ugly old greasy containers. The good ones went to hubby's work cupboard downstairs and in the fridge for vegetable leaves storage.
I didn't want to spend a fortune on labelling to then change the jars so I bought some black backing labels from Aliexpress and printed out little white labels on paper. Covered with sticky tape they were removable and changeable.

LOL! NO internet was broken!! |
Two years on, and a few tweaks, the pantry is still maintaining its neatness glory. A few things out of place but this is as it is. No tidying.
